Please arrive at the church with hair and make-up done at scheduled call time.

Only dancers performing in the recital will be permitted backstage.

Dancers with multiple dances please bring all costumes, hair pieces and shoes with you backstage.
Costume, Hair, & Makeup Details
Stage Makeup - black mascara (falsies optional), black eye liner (wings optional), semi-darkened neutral eye shadow, rosy blush, medium shade of lipstick and a shade darker foundation OR bronzer/highlighter to brighten face - keep in mind, stage lights drown out features!
They need to bring their makeup with them for touch ups.
Hair will need to be slicked and sprayed - side part, middle part or slicked back but it needs to be smooth and hair sprayed!
If needing to change to/from bun - be sure to send hair colored bands, bobby pins and hairnet for backstage helpers to assist in hair changes! There are bun makers available at Target, cvs etc that make hair changes easier.
A list of dance specific hairstyles will be available closer to recital time
*No jewelry or nail polish
*Low means nape of neck, not middle of head!
*If there is a hairpiece with the costume - be sure it comes with the costume - we will help attach on arrival so everyone's the same!
*Parents WILL NOT be allowed backstage to help with hair or makeup! We have a designated backstage crew ready and able to help!
Recital Arrival & Dismissal
ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL
We will be checking each student in AND out! Please be patient and give grace throughout this process!
Upon arrival at the church you will bring your child in at the door labeled “check in” and go to the curtain to check them in with a volunteer..
Audience seating will not open until 20 minutes prior to show time!
After the show has ended, we will dismiss students at that same curtain. One parent/guardian must be present to check out your child. We will do this as quickly as possible - again, PLEASE be patient and kind to our volunteers! This is for the safety of every child in our care!
Once checked out, feel free to get pics on stage, with teachers and at our Masterpiece backdrop photo op!
Dancers in both shows: you are welcome to stay and hang out with your child during the quick break (still no parents backstage). They will need to pack a heavy snack to keep their energy up for show #2! I would suggest any kind of bars, string cheese, cuties, apple slices, pretzels, goldfish etc! Please no sauces/dips or anything spillable! Water only for drinks!
There will not be time to take your child off premises during the break!
You do not have to stay with your child either - again we have plenty of volunteers for this in between time!
OTHER
*Label all the things! Shoes, bags etc

*Water ONLY
*No electronics backstage (phones ok but must be stored in dance bag)
*Students are welcome to bring cards, sticker books, coloring books (no markers), reading books or small games to pass the time.
